Raw Edge is one of the Vancouver area’s more popular club bands, but they are living a double life.  They also work for a multi-national organization that handles some pretty high tech and sensitive situations.

The big problem is the youngest member of the group was the product of genetic tampering.  He not only has no idea what’s been done to him or what strange things he’s capable of doing, he has no idea that he has an older brother that is the product of those same experiments.

The group must work together to keep 16 year old Robin Grant alive long enough for him to learn what science has done to him.

Preface

 

A

fter the research undertaken to complete my first book, Wayki Wayki, it became crystal clear that the real wisdom within our realm lies with the adepts who have carried forth the knowledge from the ancient mystery schools, and also within the shamanic lineages from various ancient cultures.  It became apparent that there is a secret history full of secret teachings, and that the history and reality we’re fed by the absurd, corrupt, greedy world elite in the early 21st century is just a small fraction of what we actually are, and what actually is.

Through following synchronicities and signpost experiences I ended up at a self-initiatic temple of the mysteries in the Maya highlands.  There I lived in a pyramid for a hundred days studying the esoteric unwritten Hermetic Qabalah and Hermetic Alchemy.  My process included a 55 day silent meditative fast that allowed me to go deep enough into the Qabalistic archetypal world to push my consciousness and core being across an archetypal veil.  Once there, I was able to glean how this ancient philosophy and science has held truth and wisdom that has stood fast throughout millennia, a truth that is wholly related to the authentic self. 

After this experience, there was little rest, I was offered an adventurous quest high up a volcano to be guided one on one by a master of quantum physics, astrophysics and Hermetic Philosophy. This more recent hundred day process was mostly based around the Hermetic Emerald Table from ancient Egypt, along with Merkaba mysticism.

From both of these practical experiences it became indisputable that the esoteric traditions are based more on science than theology or myth, and that the occult, alchemical, esoteric, and yogic schools from various traditions can all take one to a very similar place.  From this sacred place the world can be viewed how it really is, and not how one has learned it to be.

The very root of Hermetic Alchemy and the esoteric traditions has always been concerned with techniques that manipulate the human physiology, in turn creating altered states of consciousness that can then be nurtured.  These states are then able to provide a supernatural intelligence, or state that can be used for practical purposes.  Many leaps in evolution have come from the use of related mysticism and the associated altered states; in science, art, medicine, astronomy, and philosophy.  With these leaps coming from a whole host of well known adepts and alchemists such as Pythagoras, Plato, Newton, Leonardo da Vinci, Alexander the great, Leibniz, Freud, Jung, Kepler, Gurdjieff, Steiner, plus many others.

Three main streams have helped to destroy much of the true wisdom that is inherent within our realm; the bigotry and repression within mainstream religions, the tyranny within the world elite, and group think within societies and cultures.  For one example amongst the hundreds available; the Vatican holds most of the world’s esoteric doctrines and scrolls from sources such as the library of Alexandria, the Essenes, and the Maya, but the Cardinals and Popes (that are themselves adepts of occult teachings) paradoxically throw at the people a man made exoteric, dogmatic, Egyptian based Catholicism.  This example does not even take much objective neutral research or detective work to fully understand for oneself.

This book’s main aim is to preserve some of the true ancient wisdom and to create a bridge to ones true self, and for us to see, feel and remember just how powerful our minds actually are.   The techniques and archetypal handles explained in the latter chapters have stood up for millennia, and much symbolism around us in the modern world commemorates the ancient philosophy and science of Hermetics. 

Many thousands of years ago the initiatic knowledge which evolved into that of the current Tibetan, Sufi, Yogic and Qabalistic streams were held in one type of schooling and priesthood.  It is the ancient flood and the following fragmentation of race, language and culture that created the current diversity, but each path still has its roots still in full view.  While we will look at Hermetic Qabalah and Alchemy, we are really just using these as tools to achieve a desired aim; the aim of taking core consciousness to a very special, sacred and practical place.

In modern times, the words Hermetics, Qabalah, and Alchemy are rarely understood or even known by the masses.  This book will explain it nice and easy from a more rational, physiological, psychological and scientific view, and certainly not from a Jewish, theological or new age view.  Truth is really the only real religion there is, it is the only tangible thing to be worshiped, and truth can be explained without too much fluff. 

The first few chapters will set up the necessary foundations because we cannot explain the inner workings of Hermetics before explaining some things about people, society, spirituality, science, history, and reality beforehand.

Before we continue, we should make it very clear that I am not a part of any of the secret societies which have carried forth the occult knowledge from the ancient mystery schools of Egypt, Persia, Greece and Rome.  I am just another person amongst many searching for truth amidst a modern world full of beauty, love, colour, falsity, ego, fear, madness and folly. 

The divulging of much of this information is taboo in many circles and is something I have recently contemplated many times, but I feel this book is a must due to the current time our species finds itself.  The overriding factor in this internal debate is that no one owns truth, truth is available to anyone, it is self sufficient and doesn’t need or seek followers.  It just is.  Truth has nothing to prove to anyone nor has any rules or dogma attached.  It just is, and the mystics, adepts, and alchemists of the past, present and future will always speak the same truth.
